Joan Blair

Controller

Joan Blair is currently the Controller for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. With over a decade of experience in the accounting and bookkeeping field, Joan started her career as a bookkeeper for small retail companies right after finishing high school. It was during this time that she developed a passion for working with business owners to enhance their accounting processes, fix inefficiencies, and reduce costs.

Driven by her desire to expand her knowledge, Joan made the decision to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Accounting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While studying at UNLV, she had the incredible opportunity to join the LVGEA team as an accounting and operations intern, where she gained valuable insights into the organization’s mission. This experience further solidified her commitment to the LVGEA’s mission, and she was thrilled when the opportunity arose for her to return to the organization. Before rejoining LVGEA, Joan worked in the real estate industry for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, where she held various roles within their accounting department. Her most recent position was as a Senior Accountant, overseeing a team and implementing strategies to enhance agent billing and greatly reduce manual data entry.

Outside of her professional life, Joan finds joy in giving back to her community through volunteering. She also cherishes spending quality time with her two children.
