Event Recap: 2018 Annual Awards Dinner

The biggest night in economic development took place on Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Aria Resort & Casino as more than 650 business and community leaders came together for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance’s (LVGEA2018 Annual Awards Dinner.

The event reflected on the year’s accomplishments and recognized those who made an impact in economic development through the LVGEA’s core values: leadership, innovation, partnership and jobs.

The night’s honorees included Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s (LVCVA) new CEO and president Steve Hill, who received the 2018 Leadership Award for his work in bringing new companies to Nevada, creating thousands of jobs and bolstering the state’s economy–especially during his time as executive director at the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
