LVGEA Praises Nevada Legislature for Supporting Econ Dev
The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, the regional development authority for Southern Nevada, released the following statement today on the final passage of legislation that will help bring the next generation car manufacturer Faraday Future to the Apex Industrial Site in North Las Vegas:
“The Faraday deal has the capacity to jump start our manufacturing sector, create thousands of high-wage jobs for Nevadans, and unlock of the full potential of the Apex Industrial Park in North Las Vegas,” said Jonas Peterson, CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. “This is a huge win for Southern Nevada and will have a positive impact on the entire region. The structuring of the deal includes provisions that will enhance the road, water, and rail infrastructure at the site, acting as a magnet for future business attraction to the area for some time to come. With first Tesla, and now Faraday Future, Nevada is quickly becoming the launching pad for ambitious companies that will play a critical role in reshaping the way we think about transportation. We laud the efforts of the Nevada Governor’s Office, the City of North Las Vegas, and the Nevada Legislature for their hard work and dedication to creating a new Nevada by moving this legislation forward.”
The legislation was unanimously endorsed by LVGEA’s 43-member board earlier in the week.
