LVGEA Supports Convention Center Expansion & Stadium Projects

LAS VEGAS —  The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance released the following statement regarding the proposed stadium and convention center expansion projects as recommended by the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee:

“We applaud the members of the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee (SNTIC) for unanimously approving plans to fund the expansion of our convention center facilities and build a new stadium in Southern Nevada,” said Jonas Peterson, President and CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. “The tourism, convention and hospitality industry is the foundation of our economy. Together, these new, world-class amenities have the potential to diversify our tourism sector, deliver over $1 billion of annual economic impact and position Southern Nevada as a global leader for decades to come.”

After approval by LVGEA’s policy committee, the statement was approved by its board of directors last week.
