POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Economic Research Analyst to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support business attraction, retention, and expansion efforts in Southern Nevada.

Position Overview: The Economic Research Analyst will play a vital role in providing technical support, managing client relationships, and assisting in the development and tracking of economic development projects. This position reports directly to the Sr. VP of Business Development and functions within a collaborative team environment.

Our mission focuses on fostering connectivity, promoting community development, and conducting proactive business recruitment, retention, and outreach initiatives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Client Management & Tracking:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to clients involved in business attraction, retention, and expansion.
  • Manage and maintain client development activities and communications.
  • Address and support client needs throughout recruitment and expansion processes.
  • Update client activities within Excel and HubSpot CRM.
  • Prepare and submit state incentive applications.

Research & Reporting:

  • Organize and deliver accurate research and statistical reports.
  • Respond to business inquiries with market and industry-specific information.
  • Conduct pre-meeting research on companies and contacts.
  • Update internal progress and activity reports.
  • Produce and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Program & Team Support:

  • Develop strong relationships with key community partners.
  • Provide programmatic support for existing businesses and potential clients.
  • Support outbound recruitment trips and regional client tours.
  • Schedule in-person meetings with existing companies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot) is advantageous.

The Vice President of Business Development will play a key role in driving economic diversification and creating high-impact opportunities for business growth in Southern Nevada. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Business Development, this individual will lead efforts to attract, retain, and expand businesses in the region, focusing on fostering partnerships with the regional startup ecosystem. Key stakeholders will include entrepreneurs, startup companies, angel investors, venture capital firms, university programs, and corporate sponsors. The Vice President will develop and execute strategies to support business development and strengthen the local economy.

  • Develop and implement programs that support startup growth, innovation, and economic diversification.
  • Represent LVGEA at community events, public forums, and meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a catalyst for regional economic growth by identifying new business opportunities and facilitating their success in the region.
  • Provide support to startups and high-growth companies at various stages of development.
  • Oversee and manage high-priority projects, ensuring timely execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing, outreach, and business development strategies.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
  • Regularly report on key performance indicators and outcomes to LVGEA leadership.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business administration, economics, or a related discipline).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ Experience in Business development with a proven track record of attracting businesses, supporting startups, and working with investors.
  • Direct knowledge of and experience in the Las Vegas business community is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills, with a high sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Confidence, humility, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

We’re seeking a Vice President of Marketing and Sales Strategy to help us continue our mission by developing innovative strategies to promote Southern Nevada as a prime destination for business expansion and growth.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing and Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and execute data-driven marketing and sales strategies that showcase Southern Nevada’s assets to local, national, and international audiences.
  • Align marketing initiatives with LVGEA’s business objectives and ensure a unified organizational approach.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across social media, email campaigns, website traffic, and advertising.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including an analyst, graphic designer, and marketing specialist, as well as external consultants.
  • Set departmental goals, manage budgets, and ensure resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.

Brand and Public Relations:

  • Shape brand positioning and narratives to effectively target the right audiences.
  • Act as the organization’s media liaison, building relationships with stakeholders and implementing creative PR strategies.

Market Analysis and Reporting:

  • Forecast market trends and provide actionable insights to the team.
  • Track competitor activities and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare and present detailed marketing performance reports to stakeholders.

Organizational Integration:

  • Collaborate with internal departments, leadership, and community stakeholders to ensure cohesive efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in marketing, communications, or sales, with demonstrated success in leadership roles such as VP of Marketing, Marketing Director, or Sales Director.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful marketing and sales strategies.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, SEO, web analytics, and digital marketing platforms like Google AdWords.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of traditional and digital marketing tools, as well as public relations.
