Long known for its nationally acclaimed quality of life, the city of Henderson has grown rapidly in population while expanding its economy with robust diversification. Today the City is home to global leaders such as Google and Haas Automation, the world’s largest maker of machine tools, and to world-leading innovation from home-grown companies like K2 Energy, makers of Lithion ion energy storage solutions. Thriving sectors now include manufacturing, healthcare and life sciences, technology and business services.

High quality of life continues to play an important role in attracting young and talented professionals, who are drawn to Henderson’s well-planned residential areas and the abundance of municipal outdoor recreation encompassing 220 miles of multi-use trails and 1,400 acres of parkland. Leveraging attractions such as the Lifeguard Arena and Dollar Loan Center, Henderson has also become a pro-sports hub, home to the practice and/or game venues for teams from the NFL, AHL, WNBA, WFL and NBA’s G League.

Future growth seems assured: A 2021 community survey showed 97% of Henderson residents expressed satisfaction with the city as a place to live, and in 2022, the City earned the ETC Institute’s “Leading the Way Award,” which recognizes the top 10% of all communities in the U.S. for resident satisfaction in the overall quality of local government. In 2022, Henderson was also named #3 Safest City by Money Geek in comparing cities of populations over 100,000.
