Joan Camillo serves as Senior Accountant for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance.
Joan has over 10 years’ experience in the accounting and bookkeeping field. Born and raised in Boston, she started her career working as a bookkeeper for small retail companies just out of high school. There she gained interest in working with business owners to improve their accounting processes. Wanting to further enhance her knowledge, she decided to relocate to Las Vegas to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas earning her Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
While attending UNLV, Joan joined the LVGEA team as their accounting and operations intern, learning about the organization’s mission. She was thrilled to be given the opportunity to return to LVGEA and continue that mission, this time with a lot more experience. Prior to returning to LVGEA, she worked in the real estate industry for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices serving many roles within their accounting department and most recently serving as their Senior Accountant.
Outside of work, Joan enjoys volunteering, spending time with her son, and taking a trip back to Boston to enjoy a game at Fenway Park.
