DC Fly-In Gives Nevada Business Community a Voice in Capital

LVGEA once again joined forces with the Vegas Chamber to host the DC Fly-In September 19 – 22, 2022 in our nation’s capital.

More than 240 business and community leaders, the largest group ever, attended this year’s event, speaking with one unified voice on the issues that matter to Southern Nevada.

This year’s trip was comprised of meetings with Congressional members, national trade organizations, and policy groups. The LVGEA and Vegas Chamber also hosted several receptions to further build relationships with Congressional leadership and provide an opportunity for attendees to connect with one another.

Additional trip highlights include:

  • A fireside chat with LVGEA President & CEO Tina Quigley and Jeremy Aguero, Principal with Applied Analysis, about the future of economic development in Southern Nevada.
  • A discussion with the U.S. Economic Development Administration about Southern Nevada’s Build Back Better Regional Challenge grant application, and how the region can work collaboratively to seek federal funding in the future.
  • A lively debate between a group of political insiders regarding potential outcomes of the upcoming election.
  • A candid conversation with keynote speaker Congresswoman Liz Cheney on the state of politics during the Nevada State Dinner Gala

We believe the DC Fly-in is a critical opportunity to share our voice and be a part of the national conversation when it comes to economic development. Thank you to the Vegas Chamber for their invaluable partnership on this year’s event; we are already looking forward to the 2023 DC Fly-In!
