Five companies creating 250+ new jobs for Las Vegas residents

LAS VEGAS— Five companies plan to create 271 high-paying, high-quality jobs in the Las Vegas region over the next two years after being approved for state tax incentives today during the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) quarterly board of directors meeting.

The companies approved for incentives include a full-service tax law firm expanding its headquarter operations, a leading producer of action sports events and content that is considering relocating its corporate headquarters, a food-packaging company, a national eyewear brand that is expanding its state-of-the-art optical lab and manufacturing facility, and a plastic bottle manufacturing company.

“These companies are the exact types of businesses we are targeting to bring to the region,” said Tina Quigley, President and CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance. “Two of the companies are looking to locate their corporate headquarters in Las Vegas, which will bring high-quality professional jobs to the region. Couple that with three new or expanded advanced manufacturing and distribution facilities that will provide jobs for the region’s technical students, and you’ve got a recipe for success.”

During its quarterly meeting today, the GOED board approved tax incentives for a total of eight companies considering relocation or expansion throughout the state, including the five companies in Southern Nevada. These eight companies will make capital investments of more than $72.3 million and generate $65.1 million in net new state tax revenues over the next 10 years.

“The near-term benefit of Nevada’s incentive program is that it is creating good jobs that wouldn’t otherwise come here,” said Governor Joe Lombardo. “One of these companies alone will create 270 jobs in Nye County and two others in Clark County will create more than 300 positions combined over the next five years outside of the hospitality and leisure sector.”

Alongside its municipal partners in Clark County and the City of North Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) provided support and guidance to these companies throughout the tax abatement approval process, which supports economic development and diversification efforts throughout the state.

Bauderer Packaging — 89 jobs, $29.33 average wage

Bauderer Packaging is a food packaging company that delivers design, manufacturing, and custom contract packaging solutions for major consumer packaged goods (CPG) clients. The company is looking to establish a new 200,000 square foot production facility in North Las Vegas. The new facility will be a co-packing operation initially consisting of three canister filling lines of snack products for a major CPG manufacturer.

“Bauderer Packaging is excited to expand our growing business to the west coast,” said Rob Knuepfer, President. “Our company chose Las Vegas primarily due to the friendly business environment and important tax incentives. Las Vegas also provides significant logistical advantages to our supply chain partners. Lastly, our team is excited to tap into a vibrant workforce and expand our team with top talent.”

Chameleon Beverage Company — 20 jobs, $29.58 average wage

Chameleon Beverage Company is one of the largest private label plastic water bottle manufacturing companies in California, supplying hotels, restaurants, fitness clubs, and real estate agents with personalized and eco-friendly water packaging. The company plans to establish a 20,000 square foot plastic bottle manufacturing facility in Clark County, with the finished product being shipped to the company’s other locations to be filled.

Elite Sales Solutions, dba American Tax Service — 80 jobs, $36.22 average wage

Elite Sales is a full-service boutique tax law firm specializing in tax relief resolution, audit representation, and tax preparation. The company was founded in California in 2018 and expanded into Nevada in 2021. Due to the growth it has experienced over the past few years in Nevada, the company is in the process of expanding its operations in the state. Elite Sales plans to expand its headquarter and back-office operations in Clark County, increasing its office space from 2,700 square feet to 12,000 square feet.

Thrill One Events — 52 jobs, $55.37 average wage

Thrill One Events is a sports, entertainment, and lifestyle content company with a social audience of more than 40 million followers across its various channels. The company was formed in 2020 by uniting industry-leading brands Nitro Circus, Nitro Rallycross, Street League Skateboarding, and Thrill One Media to become the world’s leading producer of action sports events and original content. The company is considering relocating its headquarters to Clark County from southern California.

“Relocating to Las Vegas would help us deliver an unparalleled experience from the epicenter of sports and entertainment to our global audience,” said Matt Cohn, CEO of Thrill One Sports & Entertainment. “We’re considering Las Vegas because we see the opportunity to deepen our existing partnerships and forge new collaborations that could drive our next chapter. Tapping into the region’s vibrant business ecosystem would also enable us to bring our portfolio of brands to even greater heights and redefine the boundaries of action sports entertainment.”

Warby Parker — 30 jobs, $25.37 average wage

Warby Parker is an eyewear brand that pioneers ideas, designs products, and develops technologies that help people see, from designer-quality prescription glasses to contacts, to eye exams and vision tests available online and in retail stores across the U.S. and Canada. The company opened a 69,580 sq. ft. optical lab in Clark County in 2021 to support its mission of providing vision care for all. Additionally, this year Warby Parker’s Las Vegas lab assumed fulfillment of all Pupils Projects orders. Pupils Project is Warby Parker’s school-based program that works with nonprofit organizations and government agencies to give free vision screenings, eye exams, and glasses to school children in underserved communities across the country. The company was approved today to add an additional 30 jobs and to invest in capital equipment over the next two years.
