Canadian Company Opens First U.S. Location in North Las Vegas

Spector & Co. recently celebrated the grand opening of their first U.S. based production operation in North Las Vegas.

The Montreal, Canada based company is a leading designer and manufacturer of promotional items for businesses such as pens, journals, bags, luggage, tech, home goods, and accessories.

“We’re really excited to be here in North Las Vegas,” said Rob Spector, the company’s CEO. “In 1991 when I joined the company, we had five employees and a single 8,000 square foot office. Now we have offices in the U.S. and China, with production facilities across North America.”

The company’s new 91,000 square foot facility includes a product showroom, offices, a factory, and a warehouse. The company uses state of the art equipment, including flat-screen printing, digital printing, debosssing, and laser-engraving to produce their products.

City of North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown attended the grand opening celebration to help welcome the company to the region.

“This is the part of my official mayoral duties that I thrive on because when you’re in business we’re in business,” said Mayor Goynes-Brown. “This company is bringing new opportunities for our residents. It’s not just a job, we’re building career opportunities.”

Spector & Co. reached out to the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance in early 2022, looking for assistance with market analysis as well as finding a workforce to staff the facility.

“We have been very fortunate to have a group of dedicated people making us feel at home,” said Juan Martinez, the Vice President of Branding and Manufacturing with Spector & Co. “LVGEA’s team has been amazing, and we’re grateful for your continued support.”

Martinez added that while setting up the facility in three months has been challenging, it has also been exciting.

“It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of a lot of people for believing in our team’s ability and capacity to do this,” said Martinez. “And most importantly, believing in Rob Spector’s long-time dream of setting operations in the United States.”

Spector & Co. plans to have more than 50 employees at the facility by the end of the year, with the goal to grow to 200 within a few years.
