Investor-Exclusive INSIGHT Event Features National Site Selectors

LVGEA was excited to host its second INSIGHT with LVGEA event, an investor-exclusive look into the inner workings of our organization, on Monday, November 14 at Vū Studios.

The event featured a group of national site selectors, who assist companies looking to relocate or expand. The site selector panel included:

• Gustavo Perez, Managing Director with Ernst & Young out of San Diego, California
• James Renzas, Senior Director at BCI Global in Irvine, California
• Michael Corbin, Senior Vice President-Regional Director with Synergy Real Estate Group, Corporate Advisory, Inc. out of Los Angeles, California
• Kevin Major, Managing Director at Americas Consulting and Labor Analytics at CBRE from Scottsdale, Arizona

The panel discussion was moderated by Sabrina Borghoff, Senior Director of Business Development at Martin-Harris Construction in Las Vegas. The discussion mainly focused on the reasons why companies do and don’t choose Southern Nevada to relocate or expand their business, and the current challenges facing the market.

Highlights from the discussion included:

• How inflation is impacting business expansion plans
• The Greater Vegas region’s perceived lack of robust healthcare and education systems and how it impacts location decisions
• Current labor trends and the difficulty in attracting and retaining a quality workforce
• How the current political environment affects employers, and why its important to have strong allies in local and state government
• The importance of building an ecosystem of like-minded companies in a community.
