Dignity Health, NV Energy, and Intermountain Health join regional development authority board

LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA) welcomes three new members to serve on its LVGEA50 Board of Directors, a diverse group of public and private sector leaders, which also stands as the largest business board of its kind in Nevada.

“Welcoming these three exceptional local business executives to our board reinforces our commitment to creating a diverse and dynamic leadership team,” said Tina Quigley, president and CEO of LVGEA. “Economic growth and diversification is a shared mission in Southern Nevada, and this new infusion of talent strengthens our efforts in the region’s healthcare and clean tech target industries.”

Brian Kleven is the Nevada Market Chief Financial Officer of Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican and manages the financial operations of all business entities in the organization. Kleven has an MBA from UNLV and serves on various community leadership boards in Nevada, including the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Nevada Donor Network, Opportunity Village, American Lung Association, and Healthcare Financial Management Association.

“I am honored to be a part of the LVGEA and support its mission of economic growth in Southern Nevada. As a healthcare leader working for Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, an organization that came to this valley in 1947, I know the economic potential of this region,” said Kleven. “As Southern Nevada continues to grow, we will continue our commitment of service as a healthcare system to provide compassionate care for decades to come. I look forward to partnering with our business and community leaders to ensure a bright future for local residents.”

Tony Sanchez is the Executive Vice President of Business Development and External Relations at NV Energy. Since joining NV Energy in 2007, Sanchez has overseen several departments within the company’s structure including regulatory operations, government and community relations, communications, economic development and more. He is the First Vice Chairman of the UNLV Foundation, a board member of the Nevada Mining Association, and part of the Public Education Foundation Executive Committee.

“I am honored to be joining the LVGEA50 Board of Directors to continue to work alongside so many of NV Energy’s customers in the Las Vegas Valley to help strengthen our region, create new jobs and spur investment,” said Sanchez. “The Silver State remains one of the fastest growing states in the country, and NV Energy is proud to play our part in ensuring we can meet the energy needs and expansion plans of our existing customers, as well as new customers. I look forward to working with the LVGEA50 staff and Board of Directors to continue meeting the needs of Southern Nevada’s economic expansion.”

Mitch Cloward is the President and CEO of Intermountain Health’s Desert Region, which includes southern Nevada. The not-for-profit health system offers more than 60 clinics throughout the Las Vegas Valley, including specialty care, pediatrics, senior care, and InstaCare locations. Prior to his current role, Cloward most recently served as Intermountain Health’s Desert South Utah Market President and President of St. George Regional Hospital.

“It is a distinct honor to join the LVGEA board as a representative of the healthcare community,” said Cloward. “Intermountain Health is focused on community health initiatives, preventative care, and attracting a diverse and caring healthcare workforce to the Las Vegas Valley. Our efforts to increase access to care and resources strongly align with LVGEA’s economic growth blueprint for the future.”
