Elizabeth Lopez will serve as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA), where she will lead regional business attraction, expansion strategy, and partnership development to advance Southern Nevada’s economic competitiveness and long-term growth.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning economic development, finance, real estate, and public-private partnerships, Elizabeth brings a strategic, results-driven, data-informed approach to market positioning, deal origination, and ecosystem building. Her work has supported companies across a wide range of industries, with a strong emphasis on job creation, innovation, and inclusive economic growth, including the effective use of complex federal programs such as New Market Tax Credits.
Prior to joining LVGEA, Elizabeth served as an Economic Development Officer for the City of Henderson, where she led business recruitment and attraction efforts and advanced multi-stakeholder initiatives. Earlier in her career, Elizabeth held economic development roles with the cities of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas, gaining broad experience in business development, redevelopment, and asset management. She played a key role in developing regional strategies and partnerships that continue to strengthen Southern Nevada’s entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem. This collective public-sector experience provides her with a comprehensive regional perspective and a deep understanding of the tools and strategies needed to drive sustainable economic growth for Southern Nevada.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an Executive MBA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute and is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD). She has been a Las Vegas resident for approximately three decades and holds an appointed position for the Nevada Commission on Minority Affairs for economic development.
