Jason Gray is Vice President of Government Affairs for MGM Resorts International, a Las Vegas-based global entertainment company featuring best-in-class resorts, casinos, and live entertainment venues in addition to an extensive array of restaurant, nightlife, and retail offerings.
In his role as Vice President of Government Affairs, Jason is the lead political and public policy advocate for all Las-Vegas based operations of Nevada’s largest private sector employer and taxpayer. His responsibilities include direction and representation of the company’s public policy interests before all Nevada state, local, and regional government agencies.
Jason joined MGM Resorts International in 2012 as Director of Government Affairs. Since joining the company, he’s guided the company’s government advocacy initiatives across a broad spectrum of issues, including land use and zoning, infrastructure planning, public health and accommodations, and hospitality and tourism, and while supporting the development of transformative projects like T-Mobile Arena, home of Nevada’s first professional sports franchise, The Vegas Golden Knights.
Jason has two decades of experience working in government affairs and public policy, having joined MGM Resorts International after eight years with Strategic Solutions, a Nevada-based consulting firm. Jason’s previous professional experience includes serving as a policy analyst in the Government Affairs Department of The Vegas Chamber, the state’s largest business advocacy organization and one of the largest metropolitan chambers of commerce in the United States. During his time with the chamber, Jason created public policy and legislative education and awareness programs on issues affecting free enterprise in Nevada.
Jason is a graduate of Boston University and The Vegas Chamber’s Leadership Las Vegas program. He serves on the Government Affairs Committees of the Nevada Resort Association and The Vegas Chamber and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation and Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada.
